Greetings everybody. Well, it certainly has been a long time since I posted anything. In fact, my last journal entry was back in April. So yeah, it's been a long time. But, I have been keeping busy. I have been working on a project that I hope will carry me into the next chapter of my career. It combines all of my loves: writing, history, analysis, calamity, destruction and listening to myself talk. I won't go into the details of that project now because I plan to do that in a future journal entry coming soon.

Over these last few months I have had the opportunity to examine what it is that I really like about the whole medical fetish thing. And although I really enjoy the female form and seeing it decorated in various curative wear: casts, braces, bandages, slings, traction and other devices. What I enjoy the most is how the subject ended up getting injured. Yes, the part I like best is where the heroine falls out of a window, loses control on the ski slope, is thrown from her horse, crashes her motorcycle, gets beat up by the girl-gang, pilots her plane into a hillside or falls down a staircase. For me that is the most imaginative part of the whole journey. And that will be a big part of my upcoming project. So, I beg you, please stay tuned and support me in this venture.

And now for the good stuff. I was quite fortunate to have :iconfalleklapp: send me a note with a link to the following bodycast video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4Kd8H… . This a short ad for Manzanita Sol Lengua, which is a carbonated, sugary beverage made with apples. I understand it is very popular in Mexico and parts of the US. I will speculate what happened to our pretty, plastered heroine in a future journal entry. My Spanish is pretty much non-existent, but I think her visitor asks, "So, you seem to be doing okay?" I will say our unnamed heroine has quite the talented and dexterous tongue. I try to imagine what she can do with a long tongue like that other than grasp out-of-reach fattening drinks. Hmmm…well, enough of that. Thank you, Falleklapp for passing that along.

That led me to a string of other good finds. And, here they are:

Like the ever-popular Mr. Bean episode, where he visits a hospital and finds a seat next to a beautiful woman who has been in some kind of delightful accident in which she broke both her arms, both her legs and damaged her neck and head (oh, how I envy): www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye27aI…

Next, we go way back in the time machine to 1973, to see a very young Stockard Channing in "The Girl Most Likely." This made-for-tv movie was written by Joan Rivers. A woman who definitely has a fetish for facial bandages and an addiction to cosmetic surgery. Stockard plays Miriam, a somewhat homely lass, who is picked on by everybody. At the peak of her troubles, she is hounded off the stage during a performance of a school play, and in a fit of emotions plows into an oncoming car that egregiously crossed over to the other side of the road: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KROumP…

As long as we are on made-for-tv movies, here is another one called, "Roll Freddy Roll." Hmm, I don't know what it is about made-for-tv movies from this epoch, but I guess if you wanted to pitch one, it had to include the main character ending up in a body cast. Here is Tim Conway, playing the title character, a hapless computer programmer trying to get in the good graces of his son. At the roller rink, his shoes are lost and he is forced to use the skates as footwear—24 hours a day. Allow me to say: shenanigans ensue. On his way to an important appointment, he hitches a ride from a motorcyclist and ends up crashing into a site-seeing bus at 70 miles per hour. Hi-larious! www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3UVz3…

Finally, there is this Brazilian gem. I won't even try to make sense out of it, but one of the characters ends up tricked-out in traction in a bed in her bedroom with a broken leg and a lot of bandages. www.youtube.com/watch?v=og0gYl…

Now, time for you to help me. I've been intrigued by this video clip I once saw from an old Italian movie. It was really low quality when I saw it, but now I can't find it, or better yet the whole movie. The film is called "Tre notti d'amore" or "Three Nights of Love." It stars the beautiful Catherine Spaak. The movie is actually 3 separate stories, and she is the main character in all three. By far, the best is the second story. She is a prostitute out for a joy ride in the Italian countryside when a horse crossing the road forces her to lose control of her car and crash it. She ends up in a monastery where they treat her injuries because it was their horse that crossed the road and caused her accident. (Screw Obamacare. I want Italian health insurance. Whoever is the cause of your accident, has to treat your injuries.) She sports a lovely shoulder-spica, long arm cast, long leg cast and a serious addiction to cigarettes; or as they called it back in the 1960's-normality. Please help me locate a clip of this movie from that scene or the whole movie.

Be good people. Look for my next post soon.
